Targeted youth support: process case studies - Discover
The case studies below support the achievements local authorities need to complete by the end of the Mobilise stage of the targeted youth support (TYS) change process. Each case study is an account of a pathfinder attempting to fulfil one of the objectives listed below.

1. The TYS project team is assembling a body of evidence that describes the truth about today to present to the senior management team at the end of the Deepen stage of the process (Decision Point 2)
2. There is increased awareness of potential priorities and target benefits for senior managers, operational and frontline staff
3. The project team and key agencies know and understand the views of senior managers, frontline workers, young people, their families and local communities

and carers share their views in a way they had not been asked to do

- Results of engagement with young people were not what senior managers and frontline workers had anticipated
4. Representatives of all agencies involved in the scope of the project are engaged in the change process
5. Data and opinions have been collected in many different ways

people's views captured in many settings, including an intensive one-day
session at an activity centre
- 30 youth workers gather information from over 300 young people
6. Participants in the change process have broadened their understanding of what is working, as well as what is not working well
