Targeted youth support: Mobilise - activities
The sequence of activities below takes you through the Mobilise stage. The activities ensure the achievements for Mobilise are accomplished before moving onto the next stage of the change process.
You can read about how you will know if you have completed this stage successfully on the achievements page, which links the activities below with specific achievements.
There is also a series of hints and tips from the pathfinders to support you in this part of the change process.
The links below take you to resources for each of the activities:
-
Choose
the project manager, project sponsor and senior management group and other
roles
The project manager, project sponsor and senior management group drive and shape the targeted youth support (TYS) change process and are the cornerstone of successful TYS redesign. It is important to choose the right people.
-
Launch
presentation to the local authority senior management group
The presentation clarifies the aims and objectives of TYS redesign and gets agreement for the project process and timescale.
-
Undertake training
The project manager and project sponsor should undertake basic training for their new roles.
-
Stakeholder
mapping and engagement
Stakeholder mapping and engagement enables the TYS team to manage stakeholders at the outset and throughout the project. It helps to identify work that needs to be done with individuals and teams and helps ensure alignment around project objectives.
-
Planning
workshop
The planning workshop engages key stakeholders in shaping TYS redesign.
-
Project
initiation document
The project initiation document (PID) captures all project objectives and plans at the outset so progress can be steered and measured. It records the purpose, scope, process, roles, responsibilities and timescales of the project, and is signed off by the project sponsor.
-
Communications
plan
This is part of the PID, and an ongoing key activity to keep stakeholders informed and involved throughout the change process. The plan identifies key stakeholders to communicate with and sets out ways to do this.
