Connexions Moving Towards Children's Trusts

This DfES-funded fieldwork study was carried out with 12 Connexions partnership areas from late 2005 to February 2006. The aim was to identify insights to assist the DfES and its Connexions partners to move the Connexions service towards service delivery under the new children's trust arrangements envisaged in Every Child Matters.

The report's recommendations centred on effective organisational change processes, including:

• The guidance needed from the DfES
  
  
• Local change management based on effective decision making structures and processes
  
  
• Effective communication with the workforce and stakeholders
  
  
• Continuity of the service experience for service users
