When agencies were asked to explain their responses around the way they dealt with young people presenting drug issues, it transpired that five different agencies were providing drug mentoring services in the same area.
Agencies at a multi-agency workshop were asked to explain their responses to a number of issues presented by young people. The responses of all the agencies were then analysed as a group, in terms of what is working well and what is not working well.
The group were surprised by how much duplication there was between them in terms of drugs counselling.
Comments
It is only when you ask many agencies what is happening that you get a true
picture of what is working well and not so well.
