A targeted youth support (TYS) pathfinder was running at the same time as a children's services restructure. The TYS pathfinder was integrated with the restructure and the TYS data used to inform and assist the wider restructure of children's services from a local perspective.
The challenge was to ensure the two were integrated and coherent. Through regular communication with senior level stakeholders, the Decision Point 2 presentation where collected and analysed data about the current TYS situation is presented to senior management team was also attended by the children and young people's partnership and the data was used to inform and assist the wider restructure of children's services.
Comments
All stakeholders need clarity about how the pathfinder supports other agendas, particularly the priorities highlighted in the children and young people's plan and the move towards children's trust arrangements.
