This report examines one local authority's approch to getting young people to chair meetings on their own care review. The responsibilities of independent reviewing officers (IROs) include making sure that the views of children and young people are understood and taken into account in care planning. Through the innovative approach outlined here, IROs have managed to make sure that this happens.
