Introduction to the lead professional training materials (slides and delivery notes)

A short introductory module on lead professional training comprising a 30 minute presentation along with optional discussion materials and exercises.

This module is intended to be used as an introduction for all training courses on the lead professional, providing common messages to all staff.

This module includes brief descriptions of:

• Vision and functions of the lead professional
• Appointing a lead professional
• Key accountabilities of the lead professional
• Useful skills for the lead professional
• The context for the lead professional

These materials were developed to accompany the lead professional guidance issued in April 2006. They provide core training materials which local authorities and their partners to use as they stand, or to adapt to local needs.
