Introduction to information sharing training materials (slides and delivery notes)

This introduction to the information sharing training includes a 30 minute presentation and detailed delivery notes, with optional discussion materials and exercises. 

This module acts as the introduction for all training courses on information sharing, providing common messages to all staff.

This module includes brief descriptions of :

• Information sharing policy and practice
• The importance of information sharing
• Overcoming barriers to effective information sharing
• Information sharing key principles

These materials were originally developed to accompany the information sharing guidance issued in April 2006. They have been updated to reflect the HM Government information sharing guidance published in October 2008. They provide core training materials that local authorities and their partners can use as they stand or adapt to their local needs.
