National contract for the placement of children into foster
care
The national contract is now available above. It should be considered for
use for all new placements of children into foster care.
Reference group
The contract was developed through a reference group which was set up
and had representatives including local authority commissioners, providers,
DCSF and other groups to contribute to the contract's development. The
groups' brief was to support and oversee the process, and facilitate wide
consultation with all stakeholders, including children and young people and
foster carers.
