This case study outlines the development phase of a children's centre in one of the country's most deprived wards. The centre provides access to range of services to give local families the support they need in a friendly environment, to achieve better outcomes for themselves and their children.
The case study looks at the structural and team building methods that have been used to develop an integrated approach to meeting the needs of children and families. It looks at the vision and goals of the service, the staffing arrangements and approaches to team building. It also describes the main challenges they have faced, and how they are working to overcome them.
