This note aims to highlight some of the main issues that have arisen from
the first
exploratory phase of the research study into the developing relationships
between youth offending teams (Yots) and children's trusts. This study was
commissioned by the Youth Justice Board (YJB) and is being undertaken by the
National Children's Bureau (NCB) from June 2005 - June 2007.
This phase gathered information through interviews with key senior personnel
in the two demonstration sites from the Yot, children's services,
children's trust and crime and disorder reduction partnerships, a
questionnaire to Yot managers nationwide
and the findings of the National Evaluation of Children's Trusts.
