Financial support for 16- to 19-year-olds

A range of financial support is available for young people aged 16-19 to help them, and their families, with the costs of staying in learning. The amount of support will depend on the type of course the leaner is undertaking and their personal circumstances.

For the most recent  information on current learner support programmes, go to:

The Learning and Skills Council website for provider information on the  Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA).
